Start your Monday in a more positive way.

How much time are you at work?

The average worker in the UK spends 3,750 full days at work, which is 90,000 hours over the course of their lifetime and will also work 188 days of overtime. It makes you think doesn't it? That is a lot of time spent behind that desk or on your feet and the truth is that if you don't enjoy your time at work then that time spent there can feel like double. No one wants to be in a workplace where you feel unhappy or that your time is dragging for little reward at the end of the day.

You may have read in previous blogs other tips to make the workplace more fun and these included appreciating others, giving compliments, keeping in touch, laughing and brightening up the workplace. You will have also heard how Monday can be the unhappiest work day of the week right and that you may not even crack a smile until around 11:16am on a Monday? It's the day among other things that you moan more on average, feel less attractive, have a heart attack, feel stressed and your work productivity will be it's lowest!  But here are some more tips you can try to take out the things that make it more stressful and help make your workplace a happier place to be.

Move around

No matter how busy you are and how tied to your desk or workstation you may feel, it is always a good idea to move about and take a walk if possible. Just getting up and out of your chair is going to make you more ready for the next task. If you can get out of the office for a short while that is even better. You will come back to your desk more motivated and if you get outside that will clear away some cobwebs and make you feel refreshed and brighter.
Can you have a meeting on the move? Not all meetings need to be sat around a table, while walking along to discuss things can help you to give more creative solutions to problems and creates a positive energy. Moving will also mean that the conversation won't stagnate because if you are time strapped then you can limit the conversation until you get to a certain destination. This will help people to focus on what needs to be said rather than adding other agendas.

Want to treat yourself to something to make your nails look and feel healthier?

Feeling good about yourself also helps you to feel happier. The Happy Foot Clinic's very own scented cuticle oil range will help you to do just that. What's more you can use it on your hands and feet and with or without any nail polish or service. It is the only cuticle oil that uses a natural grapeseed oil base that is very nourishing, protecting and will help strengthen your nails and make ugly looking cuticles a thing of the past. It comes in 8 lovely scents - Lavender, Ginger, Rosemary, Marjoram, Frankincense, Peppermint, Cedarwood and YlangYlang and you can add some to your nails and cuticles throughout the day.

If you are in the UK, FR, ES, IT or DE then follow this link to get your bottle now.
