What do you know about Pink Pepper Essential Oil?

How are you using Pink Pepper Essential Oil?

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

When you see a pink peppercorn you may well think of black peppercorns, but it may surprise you to learn pink peppercorns are closely related to cashews.

Ancient Incans considered the “molle,” or pink peppercorn tree to be sacred and indigenous populations used all parts of the tree, including the pink peppercorn fruit, as herbal solutions to health needs.

Pink Pepper essential oil is well known for its ability to help support a healthy metabolism and immune system when taken internally.

Pink Pepper may also help the body maintain healthy cellular function and overall cellular health.

Two main chemical components of Pink Pepper essential oil are Limonene and α-Phellandrene which may be calming to the nervous system.

Limonene could also support healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels already in the normal range when taken internally.

Additionally, when you use Pink Peppercorn essential oil internally, it may support healthy immune, digestive, and respiratory systems, while internal use may be relaxing to the nervous system.

• Create a soothing massage by combining one to two drops with dōTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil.

• May help calm and soothe the nervous system when taken internally.

Musings on a Septarian crystal and Clary Calm

Do you use crystals with your essential oils?

For those of you who love crystals and natural stones you may find they inspire you as well as help you with healing and meditation. I have a beautiful Septarian Heart.

I’m always drawn to heart crystals and stones because the heart is also about love, self-love, opening yourself up and expanding your awareness. There is also the need to nurture and look after yourself whatever day of the month it is and there are always things you can do support yourself emotionally and spiritually.

If you've wondered how Septarian gets it's unique appearance it is because the main elements of it, Calcite which forms the lighter parts,  Argonite which creates the brown lines and Limestone were chemically bonded and formed as a result of volcanic eruptions.

Looking at it, it is as if there are paths on it, light and dark. The lighter path seems wider but is also contained by the darker ones. The stone I have is very smooth and has been polished. You could imagine the light areas on the stone to be lighter easier moments, while the darker brown areas could be times when things aren’t so clear, but there is still a path to follow.

Septarian is about unity and oneness, balance in self and connection to the spiritual realm. It’s about connecting with others emotionally and spiritually. It also stands for co-operation and understanding, patience and emotional flexibility.

Thinking about my business and how it utilises the health and holistic benefits of pure essential oils – when doing this exercise, dōTERRA's oil of the month (May) was Clary Calm which is the female blend.

You can find out more about this blend in my previous blog here.

You may know as a woman through different parts of your cycle such as PMS etc your path may appear darker and you’re not quite yourself and you need more focus, while at other parts you have a lighter mood, more energy, a brighter outlook and more motivation.

Even women going through the menopause may have those days where it is lighter, it's clear what you need to do, but then on darker days it’s omg what is happening, what is my body and mind doing, I really don’t know what I’m doing with myself?

I really feel there’s something very powerful about the connection to yourself and your body and how the essential oil blend Clary Calm for women helps you through your cycle, through your day, through your month, and when you go on those different paths of your life journey you’ve got something there which supports you and helps you through those varying aspects of your cycle.

A simple thing you can do is to give yourself a quiet moment. Roll some Clary calm on your reflex points on your wrists, neck and ankles. Pop a bit on the palms of your hands, hold them together and take some deep inhales to immerse yourself with the aroma of the oils. Do this several times and as you do each time slowly exhale to ground yourself and release and stresses or worries your body may be holding.

While you are using the Clary Calm get a Septarian crystal if you have one and explore it. Look at it more closely and trace the paths on the stones whilst allowing your mind to wander as you do so. What comes to mind? Allow yourself to be grounded in the moment and take a moment to reflect and be present in the moment. If any emotions or thoughts come forward acknowledge them. Write them down if needs be.

Sometimes using different senses when meditating can be very beneficial. Give it a try and see what happens.

Discover more about Green Mandarin

Be Uplifted with Green Mandarin

Green Mandarin comes from the unripened fruit of the Mandarin tree although it may surprise you to learn the aroma of the Green Mandarin is less sour than most citrus oils.

Green Mandarin comes from the thinning process and is the green unripe fruit of the mandarin tree. In the past 60-70 percent of the green fruit was removed, discarded and left on the ground to decompose, as the fruit is too tart to be enjoyed.

Now a unique essential oil is obtained from these young, unripe fruits which have the rinds cold-pressed to yield a fragrant, uplifting oil distinct from that of fully ripened mandarins (which is known as Red Mandarin essential oil). The good news is the Brazilian farmers who create these two oils use the income from the Green Mandarin oil to cover their costs, while the Red Mandarin oil from the fully ripened harvest gives them the profit.

Green Mandarin offers a wider range of benefits to most other citrus oils and may be preferred for cosmetic use.

Emotionally uplifting and blissfully fragrant, Green Mandarin  is the perfect oil to give you an emotional lift. With a beautiful fruity aroma with subtle floral undertone it makes it a natural addition to  natural perfumes and cosmetics.

Green Mandarin also has a unique chemistry with skin and hair benefits similar to those found in Melaleuca (Tea Tree) and is lower in limonene than citrus oils, offering instead a proportionally higher concentration of gamma-Terpinene. Like other citrus oils, Green Mandarin has cleansing properties, but may be a better choice for applications in beauty (including skin and hair care) because it does not have the furanocoumarins which gives other citrus oils their high photosensitivity levels. It also has lots of other benefits having soothing properties on the nervous system as well as supporting healthy digestive, immune, and respiratory function.

Being a citrus oil Green Mandarin also helps you to feel more cheerful and gives your mood a boost, but will also soothe upset feelings or when you're feeling oversensitive.

Green Mandarin Oil Uses and Benefits

The sweet refreshing aroma of Green Mandarin is the perfect oil to diffuse at home or in the workplace for a brighter and more energised environment.  Add three to four drops in your diffuser.

To get rid of unpleasant odours and to purify the air diffuse Green Mandarin. Try it with Basil, Spearmint, Sandalwood, Lavender, or any of the citrus oils.

Green Mandarin can be taken internally to support the nervous system. It also protects your body from environmental threats when taken internally. Take one to two drops in a veggie cap to help support healthy immune function and response.

For healthy skin add a few drops to water or witch hazel for a mild skin toner and for clearer skin.  It is also good for your hair.

For a subtle citrus flavour add it to your recipes. It is also a natural food preservative.

The limonene found in Green Mandarin makes it a highly cleansing oil. Make your own counter spray by adding 10 drops of Green Mandarin to a spray bottle filled with water to clean the surfaces of your kitchen.

You can use Green Mandarin to create a beautiful perfume by blending it with other oils such as Sandalwood, Lavender, Spearmint, or citrus oils to experience the positive, uplifting emotional benefits.

Oils that Blend Well with Green Mandarin Oil

Green Mandarin has a gentle aroma that blends well with Basil, Sandalwood, Lavender, Spearmint, and other citrus oils (Grapefruit, Wild Orange, Tangerine, Lemon, Lime, and Bergamot).
