Gratitude
I was slightly perturbed to find I had unknowingly helped someone. Now this isn't a bad thing as such, but what peeved me is the person had never acknowledged that or said thank you or offered some genuine encouragement or support when they have actually met me on a personal level and know things are a struggle right now. It made me think, how your values change when you see things from a different viewpoint. And I really did. It made me think would you have behaved the same without even realising it? You take something for granted. Money values change for you to a point where you don't even appreciate what that sum would mean to another person. Imagine it if your actions benefited someone, but they just took it for granted. Or even worse were kind of patronising "Oh look at what I've done, you can be just like me!" Then maybe that is what celebs become. They just take it for granted, they don't see the little people anymore because they've got so rich the small sums no longer mean anything. I kind of feel that is what has happened to this person. And the shocker. It's in quite a short space of time - only a few years and that person has forgotten what those sums of money mean to real people. How easy it is to become beguiled by your own success.
