Where has all your energy gone?

With lifestyles that are more busy and hectic than ever before it is no surprise that you may feel that you have no energy and are constantly tired. If you are of good health then it is natural that at different times of the month your energy levels will be different and that is natural. Even the weather or seasonal changes can affect your mood and energy levels. If you are constantly tired though it may be that your body is telling you to slow down and take some rest. But there could be some simple solutions to the problem that revolve around your lifestyle and habits. 

Stop being a slouch!

It used to be that you were told to sit up and stand up straight at school, but doesn't seem to be the case any more, but there is a good reason to sit up and stand properly. If you are seated or standing with poor posture, the chances are your body is having to work harder to function properly and you will be putting extra strain on your back and hips causing unnecessary aches and pains. That slouching is probably making you feel more tired too!

A simple check is to gaze down to see the tops of your shoes/feet. If you have to strain your neck to see them, then your posture is not correct. If you are moving, standing or sitting still your head should be lined up over your body with your ears directly over your shoulders and not sticking out in front of your body. Get someone to photograph you standing or sitting even to see what your posture looks like. You may be surprised. Another tip is to avoid looking at your phone too much because chances are you are rounding your shoulders and craning your neck forward.
