Too often or not you can find yourself getting stuck indoors. It may be the weather, work or just that you're being a coach potato in front of a TV doing nothing much and just can't motivate yourself to go outside. But did you know that the average American spends 87% of their time in buildings and 6% of their time in a vehicle? That's 93% of your time spent inside in some shape or form. But it's not healthy for you physically or mentally and it may surprise you to learn that pollutants that surround you indoors are more concentrated by 2 to 5x higher than any typical outdoor concentrations. Even opening your window will improve your indoor living space, but the best way to get some fresh air and positive stimulation for your mind and body is to go outside no matter what the time of year is.
Boost Your Creativity and Focus
If you want to solve a problem or have a really good idea then the simplest thing you can do is to take a walk outside. Sometimes it can get stuffy being indoors, while a quick walk refreshes your mind and can provide inspiration. Plus a simple stretch and the act of moving around is good for your body too, while looking at different things will be good for your eyes especially if they have been stuck looking at a screen or a page for a long time. The good news continues as the outdoors is also good for children, while children with ADHD will see improvements in focus and higher scores on concentration tests from spending time in nature.Do you want a simple and fun way to bring natural scents into your home?
