Make work happier. Day 1

How much time are you at work?

The average worker in the UK spends 3,750 full days at work, which is 90,000 hours over the course of their lifetime and will also work 188 days of overtime. It makes you think doesn't it? That is a lot of time spent behind that desk or on your feet and the truth is that if you don't enjoy your time at work then that time spent there can feel like double. No one wants to be in a workplace where you feel unhappy or that your time is dragging for little reward at the end of the day.

Have a Laugh

You know Monday can be the unhappiest work day of the week right? Beat those Monday blues and cheer everyone up with a good laugh. Did you know that the average person doesn't even crack a smile until around 11:16am on a Monday? Come into the room with a smile and people will join in with you. Sometimes work can get very stuffy and serious about Monday. It's the day among other things that you moan more on average, feel less attractive, have a heart attack, feel stressed and your work productivity will be it's lowest! But it doesn't have to be like that. Have a laugh, have a joke, share something funny,  but be respectful and appropriate to your work colleagues.

Laughing decreases feelings of stress because it reduces stress hormones, while increasing immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies that will improve your resistance to disease. A good laugh releases those feel good endorphins that promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain. So make your day a bit brighter and happier and have a little chuckle every now and then. The chances are the more positive outlook that laughter brings will raise the energy levels in the room, make you feel in a better mood and likely to be more productive.

Want to treat yourself to something to make your nails look and feel healthier?

Feeling good about yourself also helps you to feel happier. The Happy Foot Clinic's very own scented cuticle oil range will help you to do just that.
