Day 14 final day New Year water detox

Benefits of Drinking Water

There are lots of benefits of drinking water that are positive for your health. Start your day with a glass of water and aim to get 2 to 2.5 litres a day if you a female and up to 3.5 litres if you are male. Start your day with a glass of water when you get up and before you have breakfast to get your mind and body functioning in the most optimal way.
I started a new 14 day challenge for myself to do this on New Year's day as that's a really good day to start a new regime or hobby for instance, but alternatively you can start today or the beginning of the week or the month as they are also really good times to start something new. And remember you can go back to this challenge at any time. It's just a quick start up to get you going and believe me, if you can stick to it for for 14 days you will feel and see a difference in yourself.

Day fourteen

Have a better heart

If you have done this for 14 days then Well Done! One last reason for drinking water is that it improves your heart health. It helps to maintain the proper viscosity of your blood and plasma and fibrinogen distribution meaning it is helping to keep your blood healthy and its going to keep your heart healthy too because when its pumping your blood around your body its the right thickness that it wants to be.

Daily Tips

You can carry recyclable, reusable water bottles around with you to make sure you stay hydrated when you are out and about. You can get bigger ones, but you know if you've got to carry them around then they can get quite heavy so a slightly smaller one may be better and that can ensure that you're staying hydrated. Some bottles come with simple filters in them as if you need to fill up and want your water to taste cleaner. Try filtered water as well if your tap water isn't to your taste and you're not keen to buy bottled water all the time particularly if your preferred brand comes in plastic bottles and you are conscious of creating bad waste. You can get simple water jugs with filters that are not terribly expensive and can be kept in your fridge to keep your water cool  You'll know when to change the filter because the water will start tasting funny.
If you want to put a bit of flavour to your water, you could put some fresh citrus fruits in there just cut up some orange, lemon, lime or something like that, although you won't be able to do this with a water bottle that filters the water as you drink it. You could even use something like DoTERRA oils. These are very good oils that are very pure and you can use them topically, but you can also use them internally because that's how pure they are. A lot of essential oils won't let you take them internally because they are not as good a grade, so you want a really good grade oil the ones I recommend are the DoTERRA oilsYou can just put one or two drops in your water just to give it a nicer flavour and they've got all the citrus blends – tangerine, wild orange, lime, lemon, grapefruit meaning there is a real choice there for you to help you can find the one that benefits and suits you. Again anything that is citrusy is going to be cleansing as well for your internal organs for your stomach and your bowels so that's really healthy as well.
If you just like water as it is start your day with a glass. Get into the habit. Get into the habit of listening to your body. If you feel maybe you're a bit peckish and you're going out and eating a load of rubbish it may just be that you're thirsty. Drink a glass of water first and then listen to your body.
If you're still hungry, you're hungry, but if you're not hungry you won't want to be having anything. Drink water, drink plenty of it. Start your day with a glass of water, drink plenty of it throughout your day and reap the benefits.
If you have joined me for this try and take this on board and do 14 days of drinking water, see how it makes you feel and if you feel better, then carry on with it. There you have it, another glass of water down, keep on going and thank you very much!
