It really is better to smile

Smiling and Laughter can be among the most uplifting things that you do and when you go into work on a Monday how do you feel? Do you go into your office with a smile on your face or are you glum? In fact the average person doesn't smile until 11.16am on a Monday, but the benefits of smiling are more than making you or someone else's day better. Smiling can boost your mood and even your immune system.

I have already said in previous blogs how smiling can make you appear more attractive, sociable and confident and these are things that will help progress you in your business or career. Your smile can also be recognised from up to 300 feet away and 69% of people find women more attractive when they smile. You can smile up to 19 different ways. A smile means the same thing in different cultures and you can't help but smile when someone smiles at you. Smiling boosts your mood, makes you feel a lot better and helps keep you healthy. Smiling can help you beat stress and women on the whole smile more than men.

It doesn't take more muscles to smile than it does to frown

So it really is better for you smile because there are many more benefits for you from smiling than ever there were from frowning all day.
