Try this simple way to increase your vitamin D levels

Are you stuck indoors? Perhaps it is the weather, maybe you're at work or it could just be you're stuck in front of a TV doing watching nothing in particular and just can't motivate yourself to go outside.

You'll have already learned that the average American spends 93% of their time inside in some shape or form and that pollutants that surround you indoors are more concentrated by 2 to 5x higher than any typical outdoor concentrations. The simple act of taking a walk outside can boost your creativity and focus, not only does it provide inspiration and some fresh air, but it is good for your body as well. Being outside can improve your mood and self-esteem.

Increase Your Vitamin D Levels

It may surprise you to learn that 85% of Americans may be deficient in vitamin D and in the UK almost 3/4s of adults have inadequate levels. Vitamin D deficiency is prevalent in adults of all ages who have increased skin pigmentation (such as those whose ancestors are from Africa, the Middle East, or India), or who always wear sun protection or limit their outdoor activities. Increasing levels of Vitamin D3 could help prevent chronic diseases and Vitamin D helps fights infections, including colds and the flu. Your body makes vitamin D from cholesterol when your  skin is exposed to sunlight and it is also found in certain foods. So remember some sun exposure is good for you - just remember not to go overboard by burning your skin.
